BOOTING UP PROCESS
(Agnes was seen in their living room looking at her laptop with a scowl when her Sister came in. She met her staring at the laptop as if she should give it a slap)
HAPPY: What are you still doing staring at the laptop? (She asked surprisingly as soon as she came in and started tying her headgear in the front of a standing mirror) We should be on our way now if we don’t want to get there late!
AGNES: I need to submit my assignment before we leave but this computer has refused to open up (she said sadly) I don’t understand why it makes it a decade to boot up (she muttered angrily)
HAPPY: (She shrugged her shoulder) You have no other choice than to wait until it is ready
AGNES: (Hissed) That is it! In fact, I am losing my patient already
HAPPY: That is what happens to us sometimes. We lose patient while God works on our request
AGNES: How do you mean?
HAPPY: That is the message I got from what is happening with the computer right now (she said while sitting beside her on the couch)
AGNES: What message? (she asked with a curious gaze)
HAPPY: The message is about the need to exercise patience! (she looked at her face intently) No matter how anxious you are, to access your computer, you will still need to wait until the process of booting is completed, right?
AGNES: Sure! (she mumbled)
HAPPY: And you literally do that because you have no alternative and if at all you have an alternative, it couldn’t be as good as the one in the laptop, right?
AGNES: Of course! Why all these questions now?
HAPPY: As long as your anxiety to access your files wouldn’t change how the computer was programmed because there must be booting up before an opening up, so also we can’t hurry God to do anything before the appointed time
AGNES: Hmm, that is true! (she said with a nod with a quick glance at her computer) Thank God! It is opening now (she said excitedly). Please continue, I am listening (she said blushing)
HAPPY: If we could wait patiently for Computer to complete its booting process, then why can’t we wait patiently for God while He processed our miracles?
AGNES: Hmm, I think it is because of our human nature. We want everything done quickly. I was actually angry with my Computer the other time (chuckled) obviously, I would have done something to make the process fast if it was possible. Now it is done and I have sent my assignment (she heaved a sigh of relieve). Although waiting for it was not easy, but it is worth it at the end (she said grinning)
HAPPY: You got it! Waiting may not be easy, but we would be happy we do at the end. We should be able to wait patiently while God works on our miracle
AGNES: That is a great lesson God just thought us o. May God help us to patiently wait on Him while our miracle is in progress in Jesus name. Please let’s pray together (They prayed, kept the laptop and left)
What has been your expectation from God all the while? Wait on God patiently while your miracles are in the process of booting up. I assure you of everlasting joy at the end of the booting process if you can do it. Shalom
For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end it will speak, and it will not lie (Habak 2:3)
