ANOINTED BUT NOT APPOINTED YET: EMPHASIS ON TRAINING AND DEVELOPING FOR QUALITY LEADERSHIP.

ANOINTED BUT NOT APPOINTED YET: EMPHASIS ON TRAINING AND DEVELOPING FOR QUALITY LEADERSHIP.

David the shepherd boy was caring for the 🐑, just minding his own business when he was called. The prophet chose him out of his seven elder brothers to become the king of Isreal.

What’s interesting is David didn’t go to the palace the moment he was anointed. He didn’t step into leadership that day. He went back to the shepherd’s field.

When God give you a promise there will always be a waiting period. What we do while waiting will determine whether or not the promise would come to be.

David was Anointed but not Appointed yet. He had to go through the season of proving and testing. David understood this principles,” to see promises come to pass, you have to keep travelling steadily forward. You have to do the right thing when no one is watching you. You have to be your best, thank God even though the door is not opening.

Month after months, David took good care of those animals- making sure they weren’t attacked and destroyed. His father didn’t even invite him home the first time prophet Samuel came searching. His brothers made fun of him. He didn’t let all that burder him. He didn’t feel bitter. Rather,he kept travelling forward.

After David defeated Goliath, King Saul became jealous of his achievements. Saul chased David through the mountains and the valleys in the wilderness. Yet David didn’t hurt Saul when he could have. He wasn’t impatient with God. He knew clearly,if he keeps moving forward in the necessary process of training and developing, then God will take him to the throne at His “Appointed” time.

Thirteen years after David was “Anointed”King Saul died in the battlefield and David ascended the throne. Amen!

Time may fail me to sight other examples: Moses was” Anointed” but had to wait forty whole years just tending Jethro’s flocks, then bagging his heroic”Appointment” with a corresponding responsibility.

Also, Joshua though”Anointed”early enough, but had to wait on the sidelines serving as long as Moses’ ministry lasted. Yet when”Appointed” was instrumental in climaxing the noble cause of” entrance proper” into the promise land.

Lastly, one of the most thriving penticostal churches in Nigeria today was started in a campus room with less 20 people, but has today hundreds of thousands of membership in the country and beyond. The founder and the General Superitendent, a man with an uncommon vision and passion for soul winning was”Anointed” just was David, but with no ceremonious “Appointment”. At least, not immediately. Yet he moved forward steadily through the”Training and Developing processes. Today pastor W.F Kumuyi of the Deeper Life Bible Church is an authority figure with the emphasis to Christian work and Leadership!

You’ve waited for those dreams and expectations to materialize. You have waited having been” Anointed”, chosen and ordained by God. However,as each day passes by,it seems just farther away from reality. Hang on right there! Remember you didn’t achieve the “Anointing”just by human efforts in the first place.

So when next it appears you are waiting longer time, just know it’s not after all vain. Many thanks!

ICPC uncovers multibillion Naira TSA Scam.

Thinking Corner:

ICPC uncovers multibillion Naira TSA Scam.

N2.67 Billion School Feeding Fund found in private accounts.
NNPC paid itself N1.53 Trillion subsidy for petrol in 3 years.
Legislators convert constituency funds for personal use.

During the lockdown, Nigerian churches such as RCCG, MFM, Christ Embassy, Daystar, Winners’ Chapel and many other churches were donating to combat the corona virus and feeding millions of the populace. Bishop Oyedepo in particular, directed N25 million weekly to be used to feed indigent members in communities.

Yet during the lockdown, the executive and legislators came together to make CAMA law in August 2020.

CAMA Law empowers the Registrar-General to merge all the above churches as one at his discretion and also close all their accounts if any of their board of trustee members (like Judas Iscariot) gets bitter over an expensive alabaster box of ointment and goes to report to the Registrar General even if the Registrar General happens to be an Imam, Eckist, Free-Thinker or Ifa Worshipper.

*Remember that Judas complained that the Alabaster Box of ointment should have been given to the poor.

*Remember that Judas who complained was the only thief among them stealing regularly from the purse.

*Remember he was the same one that betrayed Jesus.

CAMA Law could be an encouragement for Judases to betray the Church.

Remember….The Church of Christ can never appease the gates of Hell.

SHOULD CHRISTIANS LISTEN TO SECULAR MUSIC?

SHOULD CHRISTIANS LISTEN TO SECULAR MUSIC?

Here are my thoughts on the matter. Now first I want us to expand the concept of “secular” which means “not connected with religious or spiritual matters.”

A UI, ISI, Oxford etc are secular institutions. NaGeo, CNN etc are secular channels unlike TBN, Dove TV etc. Now to music; twinkle twinkle little star, National Anthem, wedding/birthday songs etc are examples of secular songs.

Now we understand the word “secular”. There’s a branch of secular that we Christians call “Wordly”. What do we tag as Wordly? “For everything in the world–the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life–comes not from the Father but from the world.” 1John2:16

So therefore;
-whatever promotes any of the attributes in 1John 2:16☝🏽
-Whatever counters our faith.
-whatever preaches immorality/lust
-whatever goes against the features of Phil 4:8, etc, these are secular songs, but more precisely WORLDY-Secular songs.

Phil 4:8 says, “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

So ALL worldly songs are secular, but not ALL secular songs are worldly. I hope we got that.

So the question is should Christians listen to secular songs?

Here’s my opinion, Since we’ve established secular to mean “not connected to religion or spiritual matters”, it’s safe to say that AS CHRISTIANS, Non worldly-secular songs are like junk food.

I call them that because eating them every now and then though isn’t beneficial to your (spiritual) health won’t kill either, but having them in large quantity (compared to quantity of healthy food) OR living off of them ALONE is dangerous to your health and can lead to death.

That’s basic. This also means that the healthiest way is to simply do without them and stick to fresh foods I.e “gospel/Christian music” 🍃 🌱 🍅 🌽 😁 because Music draws your attention (consciously or subconsciously) to its topics, as a Christian you’ll be better off drawn to God’s presence more often than to any other.

Worldly-Secular music on the other hand are drops of poison to your spirit man. Music is the only element that gains access to your heart and spirit without your permission.

Whatever content the music carries, be it immorality, lust, love of money, envy or pride goes straight into you and sticks its root into the soil of your heart.

What’s the implication of this? Prov 4:23 says “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” When the heart is corrupted, it WILL (not “it may”) influence your actions. This is what drives a person into a sinful lifestyle.

As a Christian, it is wrong and dangerous to listen to Wordly music.
It is even worse for a Christian who has many young Christian followers to encourage this. You have no idea the level of damage you’re causing on them.

Some might ask “what about listening to a Christian song produced by a Wordly person?” As a Christian with followers, I won’t condemn the song nor will I endorse it.

If I encourage my followers to listen to it, I’m also drawing their attention to the artist and his works (past and present) and then what happens when the artist later decides to sing the opposite?

Now this is a different case from if the artist openly claims to be born again and has turned a new leaf. Wisdom is key.

In conclusion, always remember that your body is the temple of God and this includes your heart. Guard its gateway against polluting content. God bless. 🙌🏼”

Sometime ago I posted a thread about Christians playing secular music during their wedding receptions and here is a better approach to it! I hope this blesses you❤

GOD WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU OR FORSAKE YOU

GOD WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU OR FORSAKE YOU

You have to read this A man from Norfolk , VA called a local radio station to share this on Sept 11th, 2003, TWO YEARS AFTER THE TRAGEDIES OF 9/11/2001.

His name was Robert Matthews. These are his words:

A few weeks before Sept. 11th, my wife and I found out we were going to have our first child. She planned a trip out to California to visit her sister. On our way to the airport, we prayed that God would grant my wife a safe trip and be with her. Shortly after I said ‘amen,’ we both heard a loud pop and the car shook violently. We had blown out a tire. I replaced the tire as quickly as I could, but we still missed her flight. Both very upset we drove home.

I received a call from my father who was retired NYFD. He asked what my wife’s flight number was, but I explained that we missed the flight.

My father informed me that her flight was the one that crashed into the southern tower. I was too shocked to speak. My father also had more news for me; he was going to help. ‘This is not something I can’t just sit by for; I have to do something.’

I was concerned for his safety, of course, but more because he had never given his life to Christ. After a brief debate, I knew his mind was made up. Before he got off of the phone, he said, ‘take good care of my grandchild.’ Those were the last words I ever heard my father say; he died while helping in the rescue effort.

My joy that my prayer of safety for my wife had been answered quickly became anger. I was angry at God, at my father, and at myself. I had gone for nearly two years blaming God for taking my father away. My son would never know his grandfather, my father had never accepted Christ, and I never got to say good-bye.

Then something happened. About two months ago, I was sitting at home with my wife and my son, when there was a knock on the door. I looked at my wife, but I could tell she wasn’t expecting anyone. I opened the door to a couple with a small child.

The man looked at me and asked if my father’s name was Jake Matthews. I told him it was. He quickly grabbed my hand and said, ‘I never got the chance to meet your father, but it is an honor to meet his son.’

He explained to me that his wife had worked in the WorldTrade Center and had been caught inside after the attack. She was pregnant and had been caught under debris. He then explained that my father had been the one to find his wife and free her. My eyes welled up with tears as I thought of my father giving his life for people like this. He then said, ‘there is something else you need to know.’

His wife then told me that as my father worked to free her, she talked to him and led him to Christ. I began sobbing at the news.

Now I know that when I get to Heaven, my father will be standing beside Jesus to welcome me, and that this family would be able to thank him themselves ..

When their baby boy was born, they named him Jacob Matthew, in honor of the man who gave his life so that a mother and baby could live.

Please take time to share this amazing story. You may never know the impact it may have on someone. God doesn’t call the qualified, He qualifies the called.
